Taponidhi Theertha is the 18th saint in the lineage of gurus at Puttige mutt after Madhwacharya. He received his spiritual training from Sri Anandanidhi Theertha and led the Peeta for 26 years.
There isn't much information available about him, but he was recognized as a great scholar. His final resting place, Vrindavana, is located in Tirthahalli.
After passing on the leadership of the Peeta to Sri Taponidhi Theertha, Sri Anandanidhi Theertha entered Vrindavan at Tirthahalli.
