Sri Raghavendra Theertha is the 21st saint in the lineage of gurus at Puttige mutt after Madhwacharya. He received his spiritual training from Sri Kavindra Theertha and led the Peeta for 26 years.
Renowned as a great scholar, Sri Raghavendra Theertha served as the Vidya guru for many saints. He traveled extensively across the country, engaging in debates and emerging victorious. Many kings honored him with donations of elephants, horses, and ornaments. He also imparted the sarva moola paata teachings to numerous disciples multiple times. He is believed to have lived for 100 years.
Sri Raghavendra Theertha is credited with constructing stone structures at Madhwa sarOvara, as evidenced by an inscription found under the Ganga temple at the sarOvara.
After passing on the leadership of the Peeta to Sri Vibudhendra Theertha, Sri Raghavendra Theertha entered Vrindavan at Puttige.
