Shri Raghavendra Teertharu is the 22nd saint from Shri Puthige Math. His guru was Shri Kavindra Teertharu, and his disciple was Shri Vibudhendra Teertharu. He served as the pontiff from 1668 to 1694. His Brindavan is located at Puthige, Hiriyadka, and his Aradhana is observed in the month of Ashadha, during the Shukla Paksha, on the Pratipada Tithi.
He was a great scholar and had taught several of the other swamijis. He had travelled across the country and had won against many people in debates. Several kings had made grants to him. He is the one who constructed stone structures in Madhwa sarOvara. An inscription found under Ganga temple at the sarOvara bears testimony to this. He lived for 100 years.
