Sri Vadirajaru praises Narasimha who emerged from the pillar and resides by Bhavanashini, drawing theological lessons from the avatara. Bhavanashini is therefore included within Ahobila Kshetra. The reference is retained here in the sequence of Sri Vadirajaru's pilgrimage so that a pilgrim can connect the present-day sacred place with the Kshetra or Tirtha praised in the Tirtha Prabandha.
Sthala Purana: Ahobilam is traditionally revered as the Kshetra of Sri Narasimha's manifestation for the protection of Prahlada and the destruction of Hiranyakashipu. The sacred landscape extends through the Nallamala hills and preserves nine principal Narasimha forms, making the pilgrimage a combination of temple darshana, hill travel and, for several shrines, trekking.
Places to See in the Kshetra: The Nava Narasimha shrines across Lower and Upper Ahobilam; the principal Lakshmi Narasimha temples; Bhavanashini Tirtha; and Prahlada-associated sacred places. Pilgrims should allow adequate time because the nine shrines are not all at one location and some require walking or trekking.
