Pooja
The scriptures like Smriti Muktavali and Krishnamrita Maharnava give a beautiful answer:
“Śāligrāma śilā sparśam ye kurvanti dine dine
vāñchanti kara saṁsparśam teṣāṁ devāḥ savāsavaḥ.”
Meaning:
Those who daily touch and worship the Shaligrama Shila
For such devotees, all deities, including Indra, desire to touch (shake hands with) them
Worship of the Shaligrama is considered extremely sacred
It brings the presence and grace of all deities
The statement about “deities wanting to shake hands” shows the high spiritual status of such a devotes
