Sri Viswadhiraja Theertha is the eighth saint in the lineage of gurus following Sri Janardhana Theertha in the guru parampare of Krishnapura mutt.
Sri Viswadhiraja Theertha received his Ashrama from Sri Vidyadhiraja Theertha and served as the head of the Peeta for a period of 10 years.
He was renowned as a great scholar and an expert in yoga shastra, earning the epithet ‘Panditadigdantigandaberunda.’
Sri Viswadhiraja Theertha embarked on a complete pilgrimage tour during his tenure.
He practiced extreme austerity, abstaining from sleep for many years and dedicating most of his time to pranayama (breath control) throughout the day.
Sri Viswadhiraja Theertha constantly engaged in the repetition (japa) of the names of Sri Rama and Sri Krishna.
Upon passing on the leadership to Sri Viswadheesha Theertha, it is said that Sri Viswadhiraja Theertha entered Vrundavana at Jagannatha Puri. However, thorough research is necessary to confirm this account.
