Shukratal was called as ‘Sukasthal’ in ancient times. This is the place where King Parikshit heard Srimad Bhaghavatam from Sukacharya. An Akshaya Vata (Big Banyan Tree) also stands tall in that location as testimony to this. A Temple Sukhdev Mandir is built in this site.
The Temple authorities have made sufficient arrangements to organize a Srimadh Bhagavata shravan here. There are halls with various seating capacity available for those who want to organize the event. They also have rooms for stay and adequate kitchen facilities as well. Organizers can hire only the Kitchen space or Kitchen with Utensils or ask the management to arrange for Cook for you. They are very flexible and they ensure that Srimad Bhaghavata shravan is carried out properly. The place is well maintained and clean. Visitors are also requested to maintain the cleanliness and sanctity of this place.
There are lot of Monkeys in this area. So, Pilgrims are requested to be careful. Do not harm them and they will not harm you as well.
