Sthala Purana
Anayadi is a well-established Narasimha temple in southern Kerala and is particularly known for its strong regional devotional following. The Lord is worshipped as Narasimha Moorthy within a traditional Kerala temple setting.
The temple is famous for the annual Anayadi Gajamela, a spectacular elephant pageantry associated with the temple festival. The scale of the celebration has made the shrine widely known beyond its immediate locality.
