Sthala Purana
Haranhalli preserves an important thirteenth-century Hoysala Vaishnava temple traditionally known today as the Lakshmi Narasimha Temple. The surviving structure belongs to the rich Hoysala temple landscape of Hassan District.
Its architecture and inscriptions illuminate the long history of Vishnu worship in the region, while the present Narasimha identity has made it a valued stop for devotees and heritage travellers.
