Adi Badri is one of the Pancha Badri temples of Uttarakhand. There are 16 temples in this temple complex. These were built during Gupta period. Lord Badri Narayana is the main diety of this Temple. The temple complex is under Archeological Department of India. It is a small temple but a very peaceful place.
Pilgrims going to Badrinath can take a detour and have darshan of this temple. When one travels from Haridwar to Badrinath, one has to take a right after the Karna Prayag market to go to Adi Badri. If one prefers to do this trip on the way back from Badrinath, one has to go straight after we cross the Karna Prayag sangam Bridge.
