Pt. Shri. Vedavyasacharya
General
Among Yajurveda followers, it is said that the upper cloth should be wrapped around the waist during certain rituals. The question arises: At what times should Yajurvedis wrap the cloth around their waist?
The traditional explanation states that during bathing, giving charity (dāna), performing śrāddha, studying the scriptures (svādhyāya), and worshipping God, Yajurvedis should wrap the upper garment around their waist.
When these rituals are performed in this proper manner, the actions become complete and the results of the rituals become fruitful.
