Shri Upendra Teertharu was the 21st pontiff of Shri Raghavendra Swamy Matha. He served as the head of the matha from 1725 to 1728. He was initiated into sanyasa by Shri Sumateendra Teertharu and his ashrama shishya was Shri Vadeendra Teertharu. His poorvashrama name was Shri Vina Vijayindracharyaru. His Moola Brindavana is located at Srirangam, Trichirapalli. His aradhana is observed on Margashirsha Krishna Ashtami.
