Ingredients

Maida (all-purpose flour): 4 cups

Rice flour: 1¼ cup

Pepper powder: 1-2 teaspoons (adjust to taste)

Salt: as required

Thick sour curd: as needed to bind the mixture

Oil: for deep frying

Instructions

Mix the Dry Ingredients:

  • In a bowl, combine 3 portions of maida and 1 portion of rice flour.
  • Add pepper powder and salt to taste. Mix well.

Bind the Mixture:

  • Gradually add thick sour curd to the dry ingredients and mix well to form a smooth, thick batter. The consistency should be thick enough to hold shape when frying.

Fry the Bondas:

  • Heat oil in a deep pan or kadai.
  • Once the oil is hot, take small portions of the batter and drop them carefully into the oil.
  • Fry the bondas on medium heat until they turn golden brown and crisp on the outside.

Serve:

  • Remove the bondas from the oil and drain the excess oil on a paper towel.

Serve Maida Bonda hot with coconut chutney or any Chutney
