Sri Yogeendra Theertha is the 25th saint in the lineage of gurus at Puttige mutt after Madhwacharya. He received his spiritual training from Sri Bhuvanendra Theertha and led the Peeta for 11 years. Although he was recognized as a great scholar, there isn't much information available about him. He was the Poorvashrama (before taking sannyasa) brother of Sri Bhuvanendra Theertha.
After passing on the leadership of the Peeta to Sri Sumateendra Theertha, Sri Yogeendra Theertha entered Vrindavan at Udupi.
