Sri Yadavendra Theertha is the twenty-third saint in the lineage of gurus following Sri Janardhana Theertha in the guru parampare of Krishnapura mutt.
He received his Ashrama from Sri Viswabhushana Theertha and served as the head of the Peeta for a duration of 11 years.
Sri Yadavendra Theertha was renowned as a great scholar, particularly excelling in Vedanta (philosophy) and Vyakarana (grammar).
During a tour to Bailupejawara village near Krishnapura, Sri Yadavendra Theertha received a divine message in a dream from a Brahmin, instructing him to construct a mutt, install the idol of Gopala Krishna, and ensure daily Pooja (worship) at the site.
Following the divine instructions, Sri Yadavendra Theertha installed the idol of Gopala Krishna in the designated place, fulfilling the Brahmin's wish.
Upon passing on the leadership to Sri Prajnanamurthy Theertha, Sri Yadavendra Theertha is said to have entered Vrindavana at Rameswaram.
