Sri Viswapati Theertha is the 21st saint in the lineage of gurus (guru parampare) after Sri Adhokshaja Theertha in the Pejawar mutt.

He received his Ashrama initiation from Sri Viswamurthy Theertha and served as the head (ruler) of the Peeta for a period of 28 years.

Sri Viswapati Theertha was a distinguished scholar who wrote commentaries on numerous works.

His commentaries included works such as Dwadasha Stotra, Vayustuti, Manimanjari, Sumadhwavijaya, Sangraha Ramayana, Narasimha Stuti, Krishnashtaka, and others.

Additionally, he wrote a commentary on Bhagavatha and 'Vijayadhwaja Ashtaka'.

Sri Viswapati Theertha appointed Sri Viswanidhi Theertha as his successor.

He passed away on the 12th day of Vaishakha Shudha (a Hindu lunar month) at Bhagirathi.

The exact location of his Vrindavana needs confirmation through thorough research.
