Sri Viswamanya Theertha is the 32nd saint in the lineage of gurus (guru parampare) after Sri Adhokshaja Theertha in the Pejawar mutt.
He received his Ashrama initiation from Sri Viswajna Theertha and served as the head (ruler) of the Peeta for a few years.

Finally, he appointed Sri Viswesha Theertha as his successor at Chakratirtha near Hampi.
