Previous (Shri Rajarajeshwara Teertharu) | Next (Shri Vidyesha Teertharu)
Shri Shrinidhi Teertha is the seventh seer in the lineage of Palimaru Matha. Although he is next in line to Shri Rajarajeshwara Teertha, he didn’t receive initiation into sainthood by him. Shri Rajarajeshwara Teertha attained haripada at a young age. At the time, his guru Shri Vidyamurti Teertha was alive. Thus, with the departure of his disciple, a deeply saddened Shri Vidyamurti Teertha initiated another scholar into sainthood. That scholar was Shri Shrinidhi Teertha. Having gained expertise by the grace of his guru and engaging in continual study, he made his life meaningful. He visited all the holy places. After the departure of his guru, for a period of 18 years, he adorned the peetha and worshipped Shri Ramachandra. In Shalivahana shaka 1312 (1389 A.D.) Shukla samvatsara ashada shuddha shashti he attained the feet of the Lord of the universe at Jagannatha Puri.
