Previous (Shri Samatmesha Teertharu) | Next (Shri Aparajita Teertharu)
The third seer in the lineage is Shri Sambhava Teertha. This name too is one among the thousand names of the Lord. Sambhava means one who incarnates on earth to establish righteousness. Bearing this meaning in mind, Shri Samatmesha Teertha must have named his disciple because the primary duty of an ascetic is establishment of righteousness and promoting the philosophy. Intending his disciple too to grow in this way, he named him Sambhava and blessed him. Shri Sambhava Teertha too lead a meaningful life by conducting lessons and giving discourses on the scrpitures and unrelenting worship of the Lord. After his guru, he adorned the peeta of Palimaru Matha for 17 years. Finally, in Shukla samvatsara, vaishakha shuddha panchami he attained the lotus feet of Shri Rama at Ayodhya.
