Sri Prajnamurthy Theertha is the fifteenth saint in the lineage of gurus following Sri Janardhana Theertha in the guru parampare of Krishnapura mutt.
Sri Prajnamurthy Theertha received his Ashrama from Sri Dharadhara Theertha and served as the head of the Peeta for a period of 11 years.
It is believed that he resided in Pajaka for an extended period, dedicating himself to serving Acharya Madhwa, which contributed to his becoming a great scholar and tapasvi (ascetic practitioner).
Subsequently, Sri Prajnamurthy Theertha embarked on travels to Dwaraka and other places.
He imparted teachings on Tantrasara and other works of Acharya Madhwa to his disciples.
Upon relinquishing the leadership to Sri Tapomurthy Theertha, it is said that Sri Prajnamurthy Theertha entered Vrundavana near Shuktimati. However, thorough research is required to confirm this account.
