Sri Lakshmimanojna Theertha is the twenty-ninth saint in the lineage of Shiroor Mutt following Sri Vamana Theertha. He received his Ashrama initiation from Sri Lakshmindra Theertha and held the position of Peeta for a brief period of 7 years.
During his tenure, Sri Lakshmimanojna Theertha displayed a deep appreciation and patronage for various forms of art, including music, painting, literature, and sculpture. His support for these cultural expressions contributed to what was considered a Golden Era of culture and literature, with notable achievements such as the construction of the Krishna Dharma Chathra in 1963, which was then handed over to Sri Krishna Mutt.
In 1971, Sri Lakshmimanojna Theertha made the decision to relinquish both the Peeta and his sanyasa. Following this, Sri Lakshmivara Theertha took sanyasa from Sri Viswottama Theertha of Sode Mutt and assumed the leadership of Shiroor Mutt.
