Sri Viswaraja Theertha is the twelfth saint in the lineage of gurus following Sri Janardhana Theertha in the guru parampare of Krishnapura mutt.
Sri Viswaraja Theertha received his Ashrama from Sri Viswavandya Theertha and served as the head of the Peeta for a period of 11 years.
He was highly knowledgeable and proficient in 64 arts, showcasing his expertise as a great scholar.
On one occasion, a dancer with ego, believing that Sri Viswaraja Theertha was unfamiliar with dance, performed incorrectly.
Sri Viswaraja Theertha promptly identified the mistakes in the performance, humbling the dancer and breaking their ego.
He expressed his response through the following verse: "ಅಷ್ಟತಾಲೇ ಪದಾದ್ಭ್ರಷ್ಟೇ ರಾಗಾತ್ ಸ್ಥಾನಾಂತರಂ ಗತೇ ಕಷ್ಟಂ ಹಾಸಂ ನಿಗೃಹ್ಣಾತಿ ರಸಿಕಃ ಕಾಲಿಯಾರ್ದನಃ"
Upon passing on the leadership to Sri Dharanidhara Theertha, Sri Viswaraja Theertha entered Vrundavana on the banks of the river Netravati.
