Sri Lokapriya Theertha is the sixth saint in the lineage of gurus following Sri Janardhana Theertha in the guru parampare of Krishnapura mutt.
Sri Lokapriya (Lokapujya) Theertha received his Ashrama from Sri Lokanatha Theertha and served as the head of the Peeta for a period of 12 years.
He was a devoted upasaka (worshipper) of Mukhyaprana (the chief life force) and attained special siddhi (spiritual powers) through his devotion.
While traveling near Neramballi, Sri Lokapriya Theertha encountered a villager who attempted to kill him with a sword.
However, Mukhyaprana intervened and prevented the villager from carrying out the act of violence.
Frightened by this intervention, the villager surrendered before Sri Lokapriya Theertha and sought the blessings of Mukhyaprana.
Upon passing on the leadership to Sri Vidyadhiraja Theertha, it is said that Sri Lokapriya Theertha entered Vrundavana at Rutimikatta. However, thorough research is necessary to confirm this account.
