Sri Viswabodha Theertha is the 25th saint in the lineage of gurus (guru parampare) after Sri Adhokshaja Theertha in the Pejawar mutt.
He received his Ashrama initiation from Sri Viswadhiraja Theertha and served as the head (ruler) of the Peeta for 25 years.
Sri Viswabodha Theertha was renowned for his mastery over his senses (control in organs), and he possessed the ability to bestow or retract curses. He was also a distinguished scholar.
He was particularly well-known for his philanthropic activities (danas).
Sri Viswabodha Theertha appointed Sri Viswavallabha Theertha as his successor.
He passed away on the 4th day of Ashada Bahula and entered Vrindavana at Pejawar.
