Sri Pushkaraksha Theertha occupies the position as the third saint in the guru parampare lineage of the Pejawar Mutt, succeeding Sri Adhokshaja Theertha.
He received his Ashrama from Sri Kamalaksha Theertha and led the Peeta for a period of 22 years.
Sri Pushkaraksha Theertha was renowned for his rigorous tapasya (austerities) and embarked on pilgrimages throughout India.
He passed away on the banks of the river Ganga on the 1st day of Pushya Shudha.
Following his tenure, Sri Pushkaraksha Theertha entrusted the leadership of the Peeta to Sri Amarendra Theertha.
It is believed that Sri Pushkaraksha Theertha entered Vrindavan on the banks of the river Ganga after stepping down from his responsibilities, although the exact location of his Vrindavan requires further research for confirmation.
