Shri Satyavijaya Teertha was the pontiff of Shri Uttaradi Matha after Sri Satyapoorna Tirtha. He was formerly known as Shri Balacharya. His father's name was Shrinivasacharya.
It so happened that before entering Brindavana Sri Satyapoorna Tirtharu wanted to anoint his disciple Satyapriya Tirtha to the seat of Shri Matha. But, at the time of Shri Satyapoorna Teertha entering the Brindavana, Shri Satyapriya Teertha was on tour for propagation of Dvaita philosophy. So Shri Satyavijaya Teertha took the Vedantha Peetha. When Shri Satyapriya Teertha returned Matha Divan and disciples convinced Shri Satyapriya Teertha. Shri Satyapriya Teertha was younger to Satyavijaya Teertha, therefore, they exchanged the Danda (Holy Stick). Shri Satyapriya Teertha went on tour once again. Shri Satyavijaya Teertha continued as pithadhipati and after Shri Satyavijaya Teertha entered brindavana, Shri Satyapriya Teertha took over the pontificate.
On Pingala Samvatsara Chaitra Krishna Ekadashi Shri Satyavijaya Teertha entered Brindavana in Satyavijaya Nagar (Arani) on the banks of river Kaveri.
