Sri Lakshmisamudra Theertha is the twenty-seventh saint in the lineage of Shiroor Mutt following Sri Vamana Theertha. He received his Ashrama initiation from Sri Lakshmivallabha Theertha and served as the pontiff for 40 years.
During his tenure, Sri Lakshmisamudra Theertha made significant contributions to the mutt and the community. He presented a medium-sized Garuda Ratha to Sri Krishna Mutt during the paryaya festival and oversaw the construction of the Bhojana Shale (Dining Hall). Additionally, he installed a statue of Lord Sri Mukhyaprana at the Bhojana Shale, believed to bless those who serve and partake in Krishna prasada with children. Sri Lakshmisamudra Theertha also led the renovation of the Papuja Mutt.
Upon passing on the leadership of the Peeta to Sri Lakshmindra Theertha, Sri Lakshmisamudra Theertha is believed to have entered Vrindavana at Udupi, marking the end of his earthly journey.
