Sri Vedavedya Theertha is the sixth saint in the lineage of Shiroor Mutt following Sri Vamana Theertha. He received his Ashrama initiation from Sri Vedavyasa Theertha and served as the pontiff for a period of 23 years.
Possessing comprehensive knowledge of all foundational scriptures (sarva moola Granthas), Sri Vedavedya Theertha encountered health issues due to some past karma (prarabhda). However, he managed to heal himself by devoutly studying Brahma Sutra Bhashya.
Renowned for his expertise in Gita Bhashya and Brahma Sutra Bhashya, Sri Vedavedya Theertha was revered as an authority in philosophical discourse.
Upon passing on the leadership of the Peeta to Sri Mahesha Theertha, Sri Vedavedya Theertha is said to have entered Vrindavana at Gokarna, marking the culmination of his earthly journey.
