Sri Gopinatha Theertha is the 9th saint in the lineage of gurus at Puttige mutt after Madhwacharya. He received his spiritual training from Sri Srivatsanka Theertha and led the Peeta for only one year.
After passing on the leadership of the Peeta to Sri Ranganatha Theertha, it is believed that Sri Gopinatha Theertha entered Vrindavan at Vrindavana Gokula.
His Aradhana is observed in the month of Shravana, during the Krishna Paksha, on the Panchami Tithi.
