Sri Dharanidhara Theertha is the 5th saint in the lineage of gurus at Puttige mutt after Madhwacharya. He received his spiritual training from Sri Yadavendra Theertha and led the Peeta for 40 years. Although he ruled for a long time, there isn't much information available about him. He was revered as a great saint and is credited with nurturing many scholars.
After passing on the leadership of the Peeta to Sri Damodara Theertha, Sri Dharanidhara Theertha is believed to have entered Vrindavan at Kashi.
