Sri Damodara Theertha is the 6th saint in the lineage of gurus at Puttige mutt after Madhwacharya. He received his spiritual training from Sri Dharanidhara Theertha and led the Peeta for a few years.
After passing on the leadership of the Peeta to Sri Raghunatha Theertha, it is said that Sri Damodara Theertha entered Vrindavan at Kashi. However, this information needs to be confirmed through thorough research.
