Sri Vidyasamudra Theertha is the thirtieth saint in the lineage of gurus following Sri Janardhana Theertha in the guru parampare of Krishnapura mutt.
He received his Ashrama from Sri Vidyanidhi Theertha and served as the head of the Peeta for a duration of 21 years.
Unfortunately, there is limited information available about Sri Vidyasamudra Theertha.
It is believed that during his tenure as the head of the Peeta, he constructed the Brahmaratha dedicated to Lord Krishna in Udupi during his paryaya (the biennial rotation of the Udupi Krishna Matha among the Ashta Mathas).
After passing on the leadership of the Peeta to Sri Vidyapati Theertha, Sri Vidyasamudra Theertha entered Vrindavana at Krishnapura.
