Sri Gunanidhi Theertha is the 16th saint in the lineage of gurus at Puttige mutt after Madhwacharya. He received his spiritual training from Sri Srinidhi Theertha. Known for his devotion to Hari (God) and scholarship, he was deeply immersed in Hari smarana (remembrance of God).
After passing on the leadership of the Peeta to Sri Anandanidhi Theertha, Sri Gunanidhi Theertha entered Vrindavan.
