Following Sri Vidyanidhi Theertha, Sri Gnananidhi Theertha assumed the responsibilities of the Ashram. Initially, he returned to Mulbagal, where he dedicated himself to the worship of the Brindavan of Sri Sripadaraja and eventually settled there. Subsequently, he embarked on extensive travels across South India to spread the teachings of the Mutt.
During one of his journeys, Sri Gnananidhi Theertha visited Srirangapatna near Mysore in Karnataka and was deeply impressed by the serene atmosphere of the place. Consequently, he decided to make Srirangapatna his permanent abode.
After some time, Sri Gnananidhi Theertha entrusted the responsibilities of the Ashram to Sri Gunanidhi Theertha, ensuring the smooth transition of leadership within the Mutt.
