Shri Susheelendra Teertharu Aradhana (Shri Raghavendra Swamy Math)

Shri Susheelendra Teertharu was the 34th saint in the lineage of Shri Raghavendra Matha. His poorvashrama name was Shri Krishnacharya, and he was the younger brother and ashrama shishya of Shri Sukruthindra Teertharu, who gave him ashrama deeksha. He received education in Kavya, Nataka, Alankara, Vedanta from Shri Suprajyendra Teertharu, in Nyaya and Meemamsa from Shri Huli Hanumantacharya, and in Dwaitha Shastra from Shri Sukruthindra Teertharu.

His period as a saint was from 1912 to 1926, and his Brindavana is located at Hosaritti. His Aradhane is observed on Ashada Shuddha Tritiya.

He organized many vidwat sabhas, promoted Dharmaprachara, and continued the “Srimatsameera Samaya Samvardhini Sabha” started by his guru. He instructed Sri Goudagere Venkataramanacharya to write “Chandrika Prakasha Prasara” in response to the Advaita work “Chandrika Khandana”.

Shri Susheelendra Teertharu was known for his miracles, such as bringing rain to the drought-hit Gadwal kingdom, and blessing King Seetharama Bhoopala with children after performing pooja in the palace. The king was deeply devoted to the seer.

Even the Nizam of Hyderabad honored him with the title “Bāla Chakravarthi” after witnessing his spiritual power.

During his visit to Udupi, on the invitation of Shri Vibhudapriya Teertharu of Adamaru Matha, he installed a Mrithika Brindavana of Shri Raghavendra Swamiji.

A poet named Sri Nanjundaiya praised him in a work titled “Abhinava Raghavendra”, which the seer humbly asked to discard, but it was later published after his brindavana pravesha by Sri Elmattur Krishnacharya.
