Shri Sugunendra Teertharu was the 31st pontiff of Shri Raghavendra Swamy Matha. He entered the order of sanyasa under Shri Sudharmendra Teertharu and led the matha from 1872 to 1884. His ashrama shishya was Shri Suprajnendra Teertharu. His Moola Brindavana is located at Chittoor (Andhra Pradesh). His aradhana is observed on Margashirsha Shukla Poornima.
