Jyesta Shukla Dwithiya is the Aradhane of Shri Sooreendra Teertharu of Sri Raghavendra Swamy Math. He was the Pontif from 1688 to 1692. He was the 19th pontiff of Sri Raghavenda Swamy Math. His Guru was Shri Yogeendra Teertharu and his Shishya was Shri Sumateendra Teertharu. His Poorvashrama name was Shri Vasudevacharya. The Moola Brindavana of Shri Sooreendra Teertharu is located in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
Shri Vasudevacharya was the elder brother of Shri Yogeendra Teertharu in his Poorvashrama and the adorned the Peeta as Pontiff after Shri Yogeendra Teertharu. When his time came to nominate a successor, he gave Ashrama to another of his Poorvashrama Brother and named him as Sumiteendra Teertharu. Shri Yogeendra Teertharu, Shri Sooreendra Teertharu and Sri Sumateendra Teertharu were brothers in their Poorvashrama and the grandsons of Shri Raghavendra Teertharu (Shri Rayaru) eleder brother in Poorvashrama. All of them were direct disciples of Sri Raghavendra Teertharu (Shri Rayaru) and it is beleived that Rayaru had instructed that they all adorn the Peeta in this Order.
