Sri Yadavottama Theertha is the fifteenth saint in the lineage of Shiroor Mutt following Sri Vamana Theertha. He received his Ashrama initiation from Sri Sridhara Theertha and served as the pontiff for a duration of 19 years.
Known for his extensive pilgrimage tours, Sri Yadavottama Theertha undertook journeys to sacred sites. Notably, he brought a Narasimha idol from Badari and installed it in Shivapura village, demonstrating his devotion to the deity.
A distinguished scholar in Vedanta, Sri Yadavottama Theertha was renowned for his profound insights into Dvaita philosophy. His remarkable intellect was acknowledged when he triumphed over the Kashi Pundits in a debate, earning him the prestigious title of "Pundit".
Upon passing on the leadership of the Peeta to Sri Raghavottama Theertha, Sri Yadavottama Theertha is said to have entered Vrindavana at Shivapura, marking the culmination of his earthly journey.
