Shri Vishwapriyateertharu was born in Puttige, near Moodubidre, in 1958 to Shri Gururaj Mucchintaaya and Shreemati Lakshmi.
His Upanayana ceremony took place at Tirumala in 1966.
In 1972, during the Paridhaavi Samvatsara Vaishakha Bahula Panchami, he received Ashrama from Paryaya Swamiji Shri Vibudheshateertharu, who gave him the Ashrama name "Shri Vishwapriyateertharu."
He furthered his studies in Shastra Adhyana under the guidance of Shri Vidyamanyateertha Swamiji of Shri Palimaru Mutt/Shri Bhandarkeri Mutt. Additionally, he studied under Shri Vidyadheeshateertharu of Shri Palimaru Mutt, Shri Sugunendrateertharu of Shri Puttige Mutt, and Shri Vidyeshateertharu of Bhandarkeri Mutt.
In 1984, he completed the Shri Nyaya Sudha Mangala at Admar.
Shri Vishwapriyateertha Swamiji is known for his devotion to God and his embodiment of tapassu, vairagya, and nishthe. He has led three Paryayas at Udupi Shri Krishna Mutt.
His notable works include the renovation of the Silver Chariot, continuation of the 'Chinnara Santarpane' program initiated by Shri Palimaru Mutt Swamiji, and the reconstruction of the Shri Krishna Mutt Gopura, among others.
Shri Vishwapriyateertha Swamiji has significantly contributed to the spiritual sphere and has enlightened thousands of people through his profound discourses filled with spiritual wisdom.
