He was an expert in Nyaya Shastra. In 1930, he conducted a grand sabha at Kumbakonam, where all the leading scholars from the three main Madhwa lineages (Trimatha) participated. This sabha took place during the Mahasamaradhane (great celebration) of his guru.
He served as the Peetadhipathi from 1926 to 1933. His guru was Shri Sushilendra Tirtharu, and his shishya (disciple) was Shri Suyamindra Tirtharu.
