Shri Satyanidhi Teertha took over the responsibility of Uttaradi Matha and ruled the pontificate throne with great honour and remarkable distinction.
He was formerly known as Kauligi Raghupathyacharya. In order to explain the significance of Madhva Vaishnavism and Dvaita philosophy Shri Satyanidhi Teertha toured extensively and visited important religious centers in South India.
Shri Satyanidhi Teertharu met Shri Raghavendra Teertha in Kumbhakonam. Shri Satyanidhi Teertharu ordained sanyasa to Shri Sayananda Teertharu and Shri Gunanidhi Teertharu with an intention to propagate the Dvaitha Philosophy. Thereafter His Holiness marched with his disciples towards the rivers Krishna and Tungabhadra. Though no direct evidence is available on his works, it is known that he has written "Vishnu Sahasranama Vyakhyana".
Shri Satyanidhi Teertha ruled the Vendantha Samrajya with a remarkable distinction and his life was a saga of supreme spiritual achievements. Many people were uplifted with his guidance and blessings. He entered the Brindavana on the tenth day of the bright half of the month of Margasheersha near the "Nivrutti Sangam" where the river Krishna and Tungabhadra join in the Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh. Due to the recent construction of the Shrisailam Hydro Electric Power Project, the Moola Brindava of Shri Satyanidhi Teertha situated at Nivrutti Sangam submerged in dam water. Now the same has been rebuilt at Kurnool in the same architectural model as those in the Nivrutii Sangam.
Shri Satyapramoda Teertha of Shri Uttaradi Matha wanted to save the Moola Brindavana of Shri Satyanidhi Teertha which was to be affected under dam water . Shri Satyapramoda Teertharu went to the spot with his disciples and offered the pooja near the sannidhana of the Moola Brindavana for an hour and ordered the disciples to dismantle the Brindavana. When the disciples started to remove granite stone panels of Brindavana , they were surprised that they smelled the perfumes of Shri Gandha from the Moola Brindavana of Shri Satyanidhi Teertha. It is very interesting to convey that the disciples and His Holiness found a saligram, Japamala and Counch (Kamandala), the Kamandala was full of crystal clear water seemed to have been filled up on the same day.
Shri Satyapramoda Teertha and the disciples who attended in the dismantling work wondered at the divine power of His Holiness. He was such a great mystic and storehouse of penance. Shri Satyapramoda Teertha swamy sprinkled the Kamandala water on the disciples. After completion of dismantling work the structure was carried to Kurnool and restructured in the permises of the Uttaradi Matha in the same architectural model as at Nivrutti Sangam dring the year 1984.
