Shrivallabha Teertha was initiated into sainthood by his guru Shri Vidyesha Teertha. He is the ninth seer in the lineage.
Brāhmaṇasya dēhō̕yaṁ kṣudrakāmāya nēṣyatē |
kr̥cchrāya tapasē caiva prētyānantasukhāya ca ||
It seemed as though the above verse was written with him in mind. He life was religiously austere. Depriving his body by fasting and other such observances, he led the life of a assiduous ascetic. He remained in the peeta for about 38 years, serving and pleasing Shri Rama. In Shalivahana shaka 1397 (1475 A.D.) Jaya nama samvatsara pushya shuddha paadya at the moola matha at Palimaru village, he attained the feet of Lord Vedavyasa.
