He was an excellent scholar and renowned for his eloquent discourses (pravachana). His teacher (gurugalu) was Shri Laxmimanojna Tirtharu, and his disciple (shishyaru) is Shri Laxmindra Tirtharu, who currently serves as the head (pITAdhipathi) of the Mutt. He also studied under Shri Satyadhyana Tirtharu of Uttaradi Mutt.
