Sri Keshava Madhava Theertha took Ashrama from Sri Rama Madhava Theertha and ruled Peeta for a few years. There isn't much information available about him. He gave Ashrama to Sri Prajna Madhava Theertha and entered Vrindavana at Tambihalli.
He was highly learned and known as a vairagya-shikAmaNi. During his tour, he arrived at a place called KabaLi kaTTe near Bhadravati, where a severe famine had struck, leaving people without even drinking water.
Seeing their suffering, he decided to stay there and built a hut for his worship. With his expertise in Ayurveda, he treated and cured the ill. Sri Mummudi Krishnaraja Wodeyaru was amazed to see a monk caring for people and granted him land.
He named the place "Majjige Halli" after the Swamiji. The Mata became known as Majjigehalli Mata. His Vrindavana is a spiritually vibrant place, and he has appeared in people's dreams, guiding them on matters concerning his Vrindavana.
Even today, people claim to have witnessed him bathing in the river and returning to his Vrindavana. He instructed his successors to relocate his Vrindavana to its current location.
The deity worshipped behind his Vrindavana is also believed to be very responsive and blesses devotees. HaridAsaratnam Gopala Dasa composed a Stotra dedicated to GurugaLu.
