विद्याधीशाब्धिसंभूतो विद्वत्कुमुदबान्धवः ।
वेदनिध्याख्यचन्द्रोऽयं कामितार्थान् प्रयच्छतु ॥

The Sixteenth great scholar and saint of Shri Uttaradi Matha was Shri Vedanidhi Teertha.
His name was Koratagi Pradyumnacharya prior to his sanyasa deeksha. Shri Vidyadheesha Teertha handed over the reigns of Shri Matha at Vyasa Asharam. He was a great spiritual luminary with tremendous spiritual powers. He was adorned for his saintly character, profound scholarship and great yogic power by the virtue of the mantrasiddha of "Narayana Astakshari".
Shri Vedanidhi Teertha was honored by the Nawab of Tiruchirapalli and granted some villages as a gift to Shri Matha. He was the recipient of many royal gifts. Shri Vedanidhi Teertha was a contemporary of Shri Raghavendra Teertha who was a great spiritual guru of the time incarnated for the upliftment of satvik souls and who possessed unparalleled mastery over the Madhwa shastra. Shri Raghavendra Teertha heard much about the Swamiji particularly of his miracles. Shri Raghavendra Swamiji happend to meet Shri Vedanidhi Teertha at Kumbhakonam. Shri Vedanidhi Teertha ruled the pontificate throne of Shri Uttardi Matha for a short period and entered the Brindavana in Pandharpur.
