Sri Ramanatha Theertha is the 12th saint in the lineage of gurus at Puttige mutt after Madhwacharya. He received his spiritual training from Sri Lokanatha Theertha and led the Peeta for 25 years.
After passing on the leadership of the Peeta to Sri Srivallabha Theertha, it is said that Sri Ramanatha Theertha entered Vrindavan at Udupi.
