Sri Yadavendra Theertha is the 4th saint after Madhwacharya in the lineage of gurus at Puttige mutt. He received his spiritual initiation from Sri Hamsendra Theertha and led the Peeta for 22 years. He was renowned as a great scholar.
Upon passing on the leadership of the Peeta to Sri Dharanidhara Theertha, Sri Yadavendra Theertha is said to have entered Vrindavan at Udupi.
