Vedas - An Unbiased View (Part 20)

In this Part-20:  Principles of Cāruvāka (Atheists cum Materialists) explained; Cāruvāka principles were revealed to this world by Deva Guru Brihaspati and the background is explained.

Periyarism, Communism and what most common public follow today either intentionally or unintentionally are all derived from Cāruvāka principles.

Their principles include, belief only in Perception; there is no God or soul because those can't be perceived; nothing exists beyond the insentient body; combination of the elements of nature itself brings consciousness to self; there is nothing called karma phala (fruits of karma), svarga-naraka (heaven-hell); no belief in Vedic injunctions (do's and don'ts); all religious practices, fire rituals etc are forced on the society by Brahmins just to fill their stomach and for their survival. Nothing beyond these even in social media today.

As per Cāruvāka, one can just enjoy life as they want and can live life as they want.

Further in this episode, Cāruvāka views are criticized from a common man's perspective, applying basic common sense.

Those who follow Cāruvāka principles, will be forced into a situation in which, the moment they try to survive by eating food, drinking water etc - they stand defeated by their own principles, the moment they declare someone dead - they stand defeated by their own principles, the moment they go for a medical treatment - they stand defeated by their own principles and so on.....

How they are criticized by Mādhva philosophers, torn and thrashed effortlessly, will follow in the next episode.

Sarvam Śrī Krṣṇārpaṇamastu!
