He was the great grandson of rAyaru. He is an avatara of shri brihaspati. He has written several works of which GURUGUNASTHAVANA is very prominent. When he recited this work in front of rAyaru's brindAvana, the brindAvana shook from side to side in approval of the work.
When rAyaru had decided to enter brindAvana, venkaNNa pantha had got a brindAvana done. rAyaru had said that it was not meant for him and 5th yati after him in the parampare would occupy the brindAvana. Thus it was predetermined and set aside for vAdIndra tIrtharu. rAyaru's affection towards him was so great that he gave him a brindAvana next to himself.
